Welcome

Whether you are familiar with Castilleja or are learning about us for the first time, we hope you feel the sense of wonder and possibility that our learning community brings to life every day.

Castilleja is brimming with possibilities, and relationships are at the heart of everything we do. New students arrive with their stories still unwritten, and in the company of other inspiring girls and devoted faculty, they are empowered to find their voices. By learning to lead with compassion, explore subjects they love, and venture outside their comfort zones, Castilleja students develop initiative, agility, and purpose. Our alumni form a strong sisterhood of courageous young women who are ready to ask innovative questions and effect sustainable and equitable change in the world. As a community, we deeply value diversity, equity, and inclusion and are committed to learning from the past and present through antiracist teaching and learning.

We are creating an exciting plan for students and parents to get to know what makes Castilleja’s programs, mission, and community unique. This fall, we will offer a series of events and opportunities that allow us to showcase Castilleja to prospective families and learn what makes each applicant special.

In an effort to provide an equitable and safe admission process for all our applicants, Castilleja will not require standardized test scores (ISEE/SSAT). Further, if we receive test results, we will not add them to applicants’ files. The admission committee will continue to rely on a holistic approach to our process, considering the countless ways that applicants can contribute to and thrive within our learning community.

Throughout this application process, we want you to know that we are in this together. Our admission team is eager to connect with you personally, help you navigate our evolving process, and learn about “What’s Possible?” for your daughter at Castilleja.
